IBDP Overview

These sessions will provide 8th grade students and their families with information about the benefits of an IB education in general and the advantages of 'doing IB at Lincoln Park' including the many IB subjects, activities, and sports Lincoln Park offers.  This event will include an opportunity to speak with students, teachers, and staff.

ACP Overview

These sessions will provide 8th grade students and their families information on how Advanced College Prep prepares students for college by teaching advanced subject matter and study skills at a higher level than standard level classes.

Some examples of advanced college prep courses include:

  • Advanced Placement (AP) courses
  • These are college-level classes that can earn students college credit if they pass the end-of-year AP test. AP courses are offered in subjects such as science, history, calculus, statistics, computer science, psychology,  music theory, visual arts.
  • Select ‘ Stand Alone’  International Baccalaureate (IB) Standard Level courses
  • These college-level classes help students develop critical thinking and language skills, as well as an awareness of global issues in subjects such as business management, global issues, and mathematical applications.

We ask that no more than two people accompany the prospective 8th grader. Please call Lincoln Park's IB Diploma Office  773.534.8149 if you have any questions.
