Hello...
I am Mr. Alan Cheng, and I teach percussionists once a week in the Beginning Bands, Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, and Wind Symphony (including Marching Band). I have been with Lincoln Park HS since 2021 and am very passionate about STEAM education. I have a BM in Percussion Performance from Northwestern University, and additional non-music degrees from Northwestern: BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Mechanical Engineering concentrating in Computer Engineering, and Minor in Engineering Management. Outside of Lincoln Park High School, I am a Senior Mechanical Engineer full-time, a freelance percussionist part-time, and occasionally give percussion and engineering clinics/lectures around Chicagoland and at Northwestern University.
